Global Atmosphere Watch Lab Assistant Operator

Alert, Nunavut is a Canadian Forces Station located on the northeastern tip of Ellesmere Island and is the northernmost continuously inhabited location on Earth.
The Dr. Neil Trivett Global Atmosphere Watch Observatory (GAW) is an atmospheric baseline station operated by Environment Climate Change Canada (ECCC). Apart of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and one of 31 stations, Alert is one of few labs that focuses on green house gas sampling in remote, far from industrial interference, areas to be able to report an accurate baseline for the scientific community.

Grassland Bird Research Technician
May 06, 2024 – August 31st, 2024.
The Suffield National Wildlife Area is one of the last stretches of undisturbed grassland prairie from industrial agriculture – creating a safe haven for many endangered and threatened species including many birds species such as the Horned Lark and Burrowing Owl. With the extirpation of the wild buffalo herds, cattle are brought every summer to graze as to support the health of the native prairie.
